From St Albans to Hatfield, we’ve moved! But only five minutes down the road.  Our purpose-built Head Office and chief distribution centre is now officially open for business. It’s been a lot of hard work and a long journey, including over two years of planning and execution, but we are so proud to introduce everyone to our new home, The Beacon.

The Beacon marks the start of a new chapter for Air Business and will help us to increase our efficiencies and collaborations within the business. As ever, our constant drive to deliver the best service for our customers lies at the heart of our Head Office move. The Beacon was built around our operational workflows, allowing us to streamline our operations even further; keeping exceptional service and our customers’ needs at the core of everything we do.

We see our future continuing to support publishers – adapting and investing in our systems and services to meet their needs which include print, digital, subscriptions and subscription boxes – which means processing over 200 million items a year for our customers. This resulted in us outgrowing our previous Head Office and distribution centre. The Beacon was built to accommodate our new size, future growth and the growth of the rapidly changing publishing industry, something we are incredibly passionate about.

In line with our commitment to our ISO certifications all 70,000 square feet of our new home is extremely energy efficient. The building boasts an energy efficiency rating of “A” and we are now free of single-use plastic cups in our vending machines.

Throughout the build, we have kept our core values in mind, one of which is accessibility. We run an open door policy and want our customers and partners to know they are welcome at The Beacon at all times. We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved and we look forward to welcoming everyone in person. We are planning a welcome event for the start of 2019.
